Helping people see what matters most.

I’m Deakin Ng. I’ve always been drawn to ideas that stay with people.

I’m a storyteller, author, and multimedia producer based in Vancouver.

I first learned to tell stories through music. Radio later taught me something even more valuable: before you tell a story well, you have to listen well.

That lesson has stayed with me ever since.

It shaped my work in broadcasting, video production, podcasting, design, and digital media. It also led me to produce Cantonese audio resources that help Chinese-speaking communities in Canada engage with Indigenous reconciliation and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action.

In 2014, I picked up a dart for the first time.

What began as a hobby grew into years of competition, coaching, and eventually Darts Don’t Lie, now published in English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese. The book became the foundation of iDartsLife, where I explore what darts reveals about focus, pressure, habit, and personal growth.

That same belief led beyond darts. Through All About Parents, I create books and conversation tools that help parents rediscover themselves as they grow alongside their children.

Whether I’m writing a book, coaching a player, producing a documentary, or creating a conversation starter for parents, I’m trying to help people see what matters most.

Because the right question often changes us more than the right answer.
