Great communication starts with listening — and mine has been shaped by over two decades on air and on stage.

My journey began in 2000 with Canada’s Chinese Radio AM1470 DJ Training Course, which led to nearly a decade as host and producer of FM96.1’s Youth Hi-Liter (青蔥歲月 Hi-Liter). Those years taught me far more than how to speak into a microphone. They taught me how to listen, read a room, ask better questions, and earn people’s trust.

Along the way, I also worked as a voiceover artist, podcast host, interviewer, and MC for community events, weddings, fundraisers, and stage productions. Each experience shaped the way I communicate today.

Long before I wrote books or coached darts, these years built the foundation for everything that followed.

Looking back, I don’t see these as separate jobs.

They were all different ways of learning how stories connect people, and how listening often matters more than speaking.
